Dear Mooney-Friends,
it´s good to know and encouraging that there´s customers of ACG aircraft out there who made good experiences. I am very happy for You.
I had reported the history of the purchase of my mooney and its repair process in a rather moderate wording. For curtesy reasons I did not mention or comment on everything I experienced within that long year of this yet unfinished repair process.
With regards to Mr. Schneider´s/ACG-air-craft comment:
- The new wing spars were delivered by Mooney between X-mas and new Year 2013/2014.
- I had ACG aircraft cancelled the sheet metal repair company O.Stahl not only because of his unfriendly and unpolite manners (he called Mr. Schneider and me names, idiots etc.) but mainly because of the unreliable timig of his service. In the middle of the works he told that he MIGHT continue the works in a couple of week´s time if I´d continue to pay him in advance. That´s why I paid him off and hired another company to finish the job.
- The aircraft was stated as "completely repaired" sometime in October 2014. A friend of mine travelled to ACG-Air-Craft, checked it and found some issues, for courtesy I didn´t want to mention here in detail (missing connecting screws/nuts on the landing gear bars after the aircraft had been flown by ACG, non functioning gyro, non functioning temperature probe for example). A week later he travelled again to ACG to check again and yet, he didn´t fly the bird home.
-The payment of working hours for ACG-air-craft was settled after we agreed to sort out the list of these issues at least partially. There were some remaining others I just accepted. Because of the experience past that year I decided to pay after this work had been done and not before having seen and checked the aircraft after the repair.
Paragraph e) in Mr Schneider´s comment is true and I had mentioned that in my report accordingly. The resealing was carried out by ACC Columbia near Mönchengladbach.

Mr. Schneider and Mr. Schiedeck-Jacht had always been polite. E-mail or telephone conversation had always been in a friendly manner.
Finally, I neither give recommendations nor do I condemn ACG aircraft. I leave the judgment to the public of the knowledgable Mooney owners.
It´s the purpose of this forum to report experiences to improve knowledge and may be also to help to improve the service of repair shops.
It´s my hope that there´s an ongoing learning process that prevents others to go through the same I had to go through and yet, it´s not over because of the tank resealing.
I bought the plane in autumn 2013 and yet haven´t flown it a single minute.
I guess, You all can imagine.
Kind regards
Dr. K. Lang

We also cannot share the experiences with ACG-air-craft.
Espacially Mr. Schiedek-Jacht is in our opinion a reliable, competent and fair mechanic. Although we're not at ACG for regulary maintenance, I think we should be happy to have mooney service center in Germany after the inglorius cash-out of MAS Leutkirch.

Best regards

Dear Mooney friends,
as a prospective Mooney buyer an Cessna owner I am honestly shocked what I read here from Dr. Lang ( who is a colleague btw).
I have my Cessna since the founding of ACG in maintenance there and even some years before while the Leutkirch days.

I am a 100% fully satisfied with the work, expertise and the attitude of Mr. Schneider and Mr. Schiedek-Jacht. They go the extra mile for you. I can fully recommend that maintenance facility and the two gentlemen.

Those postings like that of Dr. Lang can destroy the good reputation of a shop easily. That reputational damage can easily have unpleasant legal consequences to the poster especially when only half of the story is published or the description was totally biased.

I have read the comments about the problems after having brought my swiss mooney to acg für reflagging to US N registration and was of course surprised.
I had asked for offer for the reregistration which came fast and was commented very professionally. Also the help to locate a regulator was done very fast, curtious and professional even before the plane was in Allendorf.
After the plane was in Allendorf they kept me informed about the activities and asked for every additional work to be done like polishing or corrosion prevention before and with a price tag in order for me do decide yes or no!
It took a bit longer than planned but this was mainly due to the absende of the DAR.
So I just can comment based on my experience and I can heartily recommend them for their competence, communiations and transactions and for their customer- and solution-oriented approach and will definitely use them for future maintenance!

Dear Klaus Lang,

I can't comment on the ACG issues, but just wanted to say that I think I know the airplane in question and that it has previously been on Danish register. If it is the same airplane, it was at one point advertised by the Danish owner as having rust in the main spar and the price was thus very cheap. I was surprised that it was then re-advertised in Belgium on N-reg without the spar issue. With the issue fixed, I would be interested, but all communication from the new sellers seized when I asked about the spar work.

I feel sorry for Mr Lang, but I made the complete opposite experience. Although I heard one not so enthusiastic opninion, I gave them a visit just to fill up Oxygen because the old shop was the experience Mr Lang had with ACG and I was searching a new "Treatment home". It was allready nice to see 4 Mooneys waiting to get in the Hangar...
To make a long story short:
Bill within caculated limits.
Communication excellent responsive and professionel.
Good contact, honest pricing and quick organisation for third parties (f.e. Garmin updates in Straubing)
Took care also of the little but important things, like geardoor optimzing and other Little speedmods.
They took time off just to introduce me in new installations, although they had a lot of work.
When leaving the field my 252 felt like a new plane!
Just sad that they don t run a shop at my homebase...
