2016  Fuerstenfeld 2016 (Austria)
It was a little different design for the EMPOA Annual Club trip in 2016: instead of five we only ventured off for four days and instead of two destinations we had a single homebase this time. Flying and the fun associated with our Mooneys did not fall short nevertheless as weathergod Peter did once again favor us this year.
2016  EMPOA Annual General Meeting 2016

After welcoming the 26 participants our president David Kromka reported about the activities of the EMPOA in the past year:

The annual trip to England and the Isle of Man in June 2015 with 17 Mooneys, the French-German Christmas Fly-In to Vesoul in December 2015 with 30 participants and the Fast Flyer Meeting to Avignon which was organized by Tom Grossgart.

Birgit Hutz spoke about the flying event of the EMPOA for kids having Duchenne muscular dystrophy. Until 18 June in Germany 21 kids have flown, most of them accompanied by their brothers or sisters or one parent. Thanks a lot to the pilots!

When the French Mooney pilots invite us to a Fly-In we need to take an evening dress and black tie with us. These Fly-Ins always take place at a special location and there is a cocktail reception with lots of champagne and an excellent gala dinner.

Mooniacs Fly-Ins already have a tradition, after visiting Guernsey, Oxford, Paris and Oostende. The 5th international Mooniacs Fly-In was on 28th and 29th of September 2013.  For the 3rd time it was organized by Gilles Khaiat and Jacques Callies. This year they again chose an exceptional venue: Château de Pommard (Pommard castle) in the middle of the vineyards of Burgundy.

 2013  Tannkosh

If there are any conclusions to be drawn from Tannhosh, then those two. First: Thursday has become a full-scale Tannkosh day and second: no Tannkosh without rain, in our case plenty of it.

Thursday was designed to be an easy-going day for early arrivals, but this year it saw more than 500 airplanes touch down at the small grass runway in the Allgäu. But no wonder: this day boasted beautiful weather all over Germany which attracted almost a dozen Mooneys, too. And those Mooniacs were on a mission: being the largest type gathering at Tannkosh again and possibly surpassing the number from 2011.
