does anybody already had experience with the EDM 900 from JP Instruments in a EASA registered aircraft? I plan to replace it based on the brand new EASA certification as primary instrument.
Does anybody has already done the registration process? I did it in an FAA aircraft before but EASA will be different and as well more expensive.

Thanks Hendrik

In case somebody is interested as well the price is quite low at this days. www.jpinstruments.com/wp-content/uploads...stant-rebate4-15.pdf

The EDM-900 is now EASA certified and does not require much paperwork any more.
I just got mine installed the other week and although I still have to learn a bit I like it already very much.

Update:
There is no paperwork to master if you buy your EDM-900 with the EASA STC included...
I fly with my new EDM-900 for a few weeks now and I am not really happy yet... - not that the EDM-900 wouldn't work at all but JPI doesn't seem to be interested in happy customers!
First of all the fuel status couldn't be read because some box didn't work at all (what about QA folks?). Got that replaced rather quickly at no extra costs... - except for what my maintenance shop charged me....
Now I am waiting for a "snubber" to smoothen my MAP readings which are jumping all over the place and make subtle adjustments to the power setting impossible to read.
I would also appreciate a reworked manual in proper English or American language and old mistakes corrected.
Sure, you can figure it out for yourself but that is not what a manual is good for!

The software to read all the data coming from the EDM-900 is quite awesome but not well programmed... - most of the time it pushes your CPU to full power even in idle mode! That is programming stone age folks!!!

so my EDM 900 is full installed and working. I'm in the pocess of finetuning my K-Factor for the trsnducer right now.
The support from JP was very good for me. I like to have some changes (adding CDT afterwards, some value changes that could not be done via the pilots menue) on the EDM and evething was done at least in atwo day's notice. So at least for me the service was working fine.
The pice was also very affordable with the Oshkosh discount. Onyl the installation was a bit more expensive as tought before. It was the first EDM900 for that LTB:

Hello dear DEART and EDNR cruiser,
may I call You to ask about Your experience with the installation process? My local dealer seemed to be a little bit insecure with regards to the installation of the proper temperature probes.
Thank You
Klaus

Hi Klaus,
that's not a problem at all. I'm in the US right now and would be available on German afternoon's. I can also provide you with the contact of the LTB that installed my EDM. Seriously not an easy and quick installation. I hope you got the right kit with the right prop's.
Please send me your phone number and i will give you a call.

best Hendrik
