Hi Anthony,

yes there's SOCATA (30NM from me, but out of range financially..) and Troyes Aviation (500€)…..but they're VERY expensive and i can not support their biz….then there's Avionik Straubing at Straubing EDMS or EDFE Egelsbach. More reasonable, 300€ for a simple VFR XPDR check, still expensive though. For EASA A/C AEROEC at Graulhet LFCQ is 140€, but they're not FAA certifed..
Hi all,
Are there any alternatives?

Andi

Since it needs to be done by an FAA Part 145 Repair Station you could search the FAA database:

Hi all,
yesterday i've been a Avionik Straubing at Egelsbach for the 24months transponder test. Very nice and good service, done quickly, and much less expensive than Troyes Aviation or SOCATA Tarbes.
And now the good news….a bilateral agreement between EASA and FAA should allow EASA part -145 organisations to provide and sign off those tests on FAA aircraft in the near future, maybe next year. Will make things easier….
