Our Mooniac Manfred Giebel accomplished a real miracle: managing to put together a weekend program with culture and delicious food in the city of his home airfield Bayreuth within a really very short time period.

Despite (once again) unflyable conditions (FZFG), Mooniacs met at the Bayreuth airfield to receive the obligatory after-landing bear after an exhausting drive. We were able to marvel at Bayreuth's castle and Festspielhaus - and also get to know how closely this city is interwoven with Richard Wagner's work. Manfred and his wife spared no effort and also had a beautiful snowy landscape laid over Bayreuth - so that we could enjoy our mulled wine at the local Christmas market all the more – after being frozen by historic stone walls and wooden seating at all the historic sites.

Whether in the vaulted cellar with a beer or a delicious Christmas dinner - we talked shop and made plans for 2024.
