Upcoming events

The EMPOA AGM will take place this year on Friday the 15th September 2023 in Mannheim. We will meet from 15:00 in EDFM for the after-landing drink. The AGM will take place in the terminal building of the City Airport Mannheim, all members are welcome. After the meeting EMPOA invites you to the traditional dinner at the restaurant "Lindbergh" (restaurant-lindbergh.de), directly opposite the terminal building.

As always, we also offer a social program, this year organized by Tina and Gunter Haug. For organizational reasons, the number of participants for the social program is limited to 50 people.

Heidelberg Du Feine

That's the title of our city tour of one of Europe's most popular tourist attractions. Only 15 minutes from Mannheim airport, Heidelberg offers so much to see and do that one day is actually not enough. Exploring the old town, castle, Heiliggeistkirche, market place, Philosophenweg, Königstuhl etc.

And of course the Brauhaus Vetter of our flying buddy Michael Vetter in the old town, where we will eat and drink in the evening.

Friday, September 15   

from 15:00: After Landing beer and snack in EDFM

17:00: General Meeting

19:00: Dinner at the restaurant "Lindbergh" (restaurant-lindbergh.de)

22:00: Transfer to the hotel

Saturday, September 16      

09:45: Heidelberg Old Town Tour, Heidelberg Du Feine. Meeting point Marienstatue on the Kornmarkt (arrival or departure depending on hotel, self-organized).

over noon: free time: On foot over the Himmelsleiter or by train to the Königstuhl, Philosophenweg, just go eat something,....

14:45: Guided tour of the castle. Meeting point at the castle. With the castle ticket you can go up by train.

19:30: Dinner and drinks at Vetter's Alt Heidelberger Brauhaus in the old town.

Sunday, September 17

10:00: Transfer to Mannheim City Airport (EDFM)

Costs: approx. 125 Euro per person, drinks at the Vetter not included (exact amount will be announced by email to the participants).

Hotel: as always, everyone takes care of their own accommodation. The following two hotels are included in the bus transfers.

1. Hotel Villa Marstall, in the middle of the city and close to Brauhaus Vetter, where we will be on Saturday evening. Here we have a room contingent (8 rooms) until Aug 16^th, 2023, reserved on "EMPOA"; cost per bed/breakfast: single 160-170€, double 185-195€ (cancellation conditions: until 2 weeks before free of charge), payment on departure on site. https://villamarstall.de/
